With the rise in off-grid camping set-ups, Free Camping has become the favourite type of camping for many Aussies.
To be able to Free Camp comfortably and successfully, you need to be able to source out all of your needs independently. That means finding extra water to top up the tanks, locating dump points to empty the toilet and finding out where these amazing Free Camps are hiding.
Here are the best apps for Free Camping in Australia, which will give you all of the information you need, right at your fingertips. Don’t forget to download offline maps within the app/s before leaving reception.

Anycamp

Anycamp started out as Aircamp. The original concept of the app was to provide people with a way of comparing and booking paid campsites inside the app without having to go to individual websites.
Although Anycamp does have a focus on paid campsites, they have also been building a solid base of Free Camps throughout Australia at the same time.
The app now has over 8,000 campsites included.
Although I wouldn’t peg Anycamp as being the best app for Free Camping in Australia, it is still a great free resource worth considering.
