While visiting Glen Innes we stayed at the Blue Sapphire Caravan Park & Tiny Homes Village (formerly known as New England Highlands RV Park).
We pulled in for a two week Caretaker stint, which we found through word of mouth. Our role as Caretakers was pretty easy, which included checking in travellers, topping up the toilet paper and other miscellaneous tasks. In return we received free & then cheaper accommodation (as we extended our stay).
My partner at the time ended up getting work right across the road at Photo Create, so we ended up staying for about 2.5 months.
If you’re ever passing through Glen Innes and find yourself looking for work, hit up Photo Create. They’re always looking for short-term casuals during their peak seasons (Christmas, Back to School, Valentines Day, Easter, Mothers & Fathers Day).

Those Tiny Houses look so cool! I hope I can get to visit and try them out sometime 🙂
They’re pretty unique.
This looks like a great place for a camping trip, I would love to stay in one of the tiny houses. They are so cute.
It does offer an alternative for people who don’t want to camp.
Great post! What is the price for Tiny House or for the campsite?
I think the Tiny Homes start around $89k to buy or around $125 per night to rent. Campsites are $25 – $35/ night.
We’ve never stayed at campings before because I’ve always imagined the lack of privacy and unsanitary conditions… After your post, I might reconsider! This house option looks legit, is it comparably expensive?
That all depends on the campsite, but most are pretty good. These days most campers and caravans have their own facilities, so you don’t have to worry about using public amenities blocks if you don’t want to. I think the Tiny Home is about $125 per night to rent.
I’d love to stay in one of those Tiny Houses one day 🙂 Thanks for putting together this detailed and informative post!
It’s surprising what they can fit in those things.
Great read and definitely somewhere I’ll consider when on the area. Thanks for the detailed post.
No worries, thanks for checking it out.
This is such a useful post! I don’t know much about caravanning but I would be sure to refer to the posts you have mentioned if I ever embarked on such an adventure! I also love the historic tunnels that you mentioned.
The Historic Tunnel is a great full-day adventure!
