The Dalby region (near Toowoomba) offers a massive Free Camping area at Bowenville Reserve, which sits alongside Oakey Creek. You’ll find it just 9km off the Warrego Highway in Bowenville and about 30km south-east of Dalby itself.
Onsite are flushing toilets, rubbish bins and a small playground. It’s also a great easy fishing spot with level ground for plenty of campers for up to 7 days.
If you’re looking for Free Camping between Toowoomba and Chinchilla or Dalby, this is the spot. For Free Camping in Chinchilla, head to the Chinchilla Weir, which even has 10 free powered sites!
