Lightning Ridge Holiday Park offers a great camping spot right in town. Beau and Belinda are lovely Managers who are more than happy to make sure your stay is comfortable. IGA was just over the road, with the two main streets within easy walking distance.
Right next door is the Water Park and heated Diving Pool (only open during the warmer months). Also within walking distance are a range of eateries, galleries and jewellery stores.

It’s handy to take a spray bottle, so that you can spray the rocks and really see the glimmer of the opal shine through.

While travelling through the Outback it’s wise to carry a hardcopy paper map with you. Technology is not always reliable, especially if you forget to download your maps before heading out of service. HEMA have a great range to cover most regions across Australia.
