Muckadilla offers a great Donation Camping Rest Area for all sized rigs and set-ups behind the Community Park. On site you’ll also find hot showers, flushing toilets, bins and fire pits. The tiny town of Muckadilla is located between Roma and Mitchell is southern Outback Queensland.

Muckadilla Hotel Fire!
On August 8, 2019 the iconic Muckadilla Hotel was engulfed in flames. The Warrego Highway was closed in both directions as emergency fire crews worked to get the fire under control.
It’s said that the Muckadilla Hotel fire began in the house next door around 3pm and quickly spread to the historic pub, which was over 100 years old.
I can only imagine how the loss of the highway Hotel Motel and Pub will devastate the local area. It’s been a popular local haunt for decades and the perfect stopping point for travellers and truckies to get some sleep and enjoy a hot meal and shower.
