We stopped into Biloela to stock up on supplies, but found ourselves tired and needing a camp for the night. After filling up the gas bottle and ducking into Supercheap to run some errands, we went down to the Information Centre to source out some free camping (or cheap camping) for the night.
As it turns out, there are no Free Camps in Biloela. However, they do offer great Showgrounds Camping behind the Information Centre at the Biloela Queensland Heritage Park (the official Showgrounds don’t have camping facilities).
The Showgrounds camping fees also include FREE entry into the Queensland Heritage Park Museum within the old Silo. Campers are also free to walk through the old Biloela Train Station, sheds and tractors around the property.
The Queensland Heritage Park is a great place to base yourself if you want to safely unhitch and have a wander through town or top up your supplies. With a security gate and swipe card, you can rest assured that the camping area is secure and your set-up will be safe when you’re not there.
