Yarramalong Camping & Recreation
Activities include relaxing, swimming and kayaking in the ice cold fresh water creek! You can also take a stroll through the lush green bush as you follow Reynolds Creek. There are plenty of spots to jump in for a swim, take a chance at spotting a Platypus or throw a line in.
Of course, don’t forget the all-important sitting around the campfire, kicking back with a good book or even getting pissed on by a possum under the night sky – yep it happened! This little pocket of South East Queensland is just gorgeous.

Yarramalong Camping Entry Track
The entry track is hilly with a gravel/ rocky surface. We lost traction on one hill and had to slot it into Low Range to get up it with the van on the back. Everyone behind us saw us sliding backwards and knocked it into 4WD themselves – the joys of being at the front of the pack!
Having said that, 2WD vehicles can get into Yarramalong, it was just because of the weight behind us on the dry, rocky track.

There was a bit of water available at the amenities block, but it’s not suitable for drinking. It’s probably pumped from the nearby creek.
